How do I get into safe mode without a keyboard?

DELL PC - Will only start up in safe mode + keyboard and mouse won't work?

• -Running windows vista -DELL computer -Wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard A program was installed onto my PC and i wanted to remove it- but it said i did not have permission to remove (i am the administrator) so i restarted my PC. After restart it will only let me load safe mode, as in if i try the normal windows start up the screen will just stay black. When i select safe mode (my keyboard works at this point) it will load after 5-10minutes but i cannot use my mouse or keyboard. What can i do? (I've tried plugging in a usb mouse and that doesn't work either) (My plan was to somehow get onto system restore to return a week or so earlier)

  I think if you put your Vista Disk in the optical drive and boot to it it will give you the option to repair Vista and then you can do a system restore from there. I say this because you can do it in Windows 7. I have NEVER used Vista but I have heard and read that Vista and Windows 7 are very similar. Good luck
