Why can't I change my desktop background with Windows 7?

I cant change my desktop background?

  • Currently my background looks like this: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j207/japaneseatheart7/123.jpg When I go into properties there is no "Desktop" Tab: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j207/japaneseatheart7/1234.jpg I can not figure out how I can change my desktop background. I have tried right clicking on pictures and selecting "make desktop background" but nothing happens. help??

hmmm sounds like a virus or adware of some sort look for it in add/remove programs

first restart your computer. if that doesn't work do this 1. Click Start - Run - type REGEDIT and press Enter 2. Expand to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W… ntVersion\Policies\ Explorer\ActiveDesktop 3. On the right side pane - check if there is an entry "NoChangingWallpaper". Set its value to 0 by double-clicking or delete the entry.

there is definitely something wrong with your computer... as your desktop says there is spyware on your computer which i think can carry viruses or is a virus im not really sure im more of an apple person
