How do you get rid of a Rundll error message?

Error Message at Computer Startup?

  • I'm running a Dell Optiplex 755 and it's only just about to be 3 years old. But lately, for about 4-5 months now I keep receiving the same error message upon starting up my computer. When I get to my desktop, just before I hear the Windows startup music, I receive this message: The title of the window the message opens in is "RUNDLL" and the message says "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\aweriwesozomufa.dll The specified module could not be found." I'm worried that it might have something to do with Spyware or Adware because my computer has been running slower but I've run 2 different Anti-Spyware and Anti-Malware programs and cleaned up all of the infected files (which made my computer run faster), but I'm still receiving this message. Has anyone else ever received this message or something like it? Thanks a lot, all answers appreciated!

  • Answer:

if that's the actual name of the DLL, it's probably a trojan. find the file in the windows folder and scan it with your anti virus. then go and delete it if it comes up as a positive

An error occurs every time you start your computer because of some incorrect references in the registry entries related to system startups. For example, an entry referring to an EXE file which no longer exists on your system. Just detect and clean these errors using Reginout registry cleaner.
