How to get a window pc desktop out of sleep mode?

• My sister, I think accidentely hit sleep mode on my computer last night. I got it to work for about 7 mintues, then it went back to sleep mode. It's been like this for two days, though I have turned on the bottom part(the part that holds all the memory), it works. But the monitor turns green for a few seconds then back to orange. I've already pressed a few buttons on the keyboard and clicked the mouse. But I have changed the montior. It still ended up on sleep mode. And I am not typing from that computer right now, because it's obviosouly isn't 'waking-up', I'm typing on a laptop. So please help because I need to acces it today or hopefully by tommrow morning.

  you mean standby ? when all the fans are of and stuff like that ? just press the power button to wake it up, ( standby keeps the computer running in a sleep mode, shutdown turn it of and would require a reboot when turned back on
