Which processor is better for computer animation rendering?

Im looking to build a computer for rending my 3d animations. It will be linked to my main computer and assist in the renderings so it wont have a graphics card monitor keyboard or mouse. I want to stick with amd cpus as they are more in my price range than intel cpus. Im looking at the phenom 2 x4 but I am also looking at the FX series. The FX 4100 is a 3.6 Ghz quad core for 110 and the phenom 960t is 3.0Ghz quad core and 125. Which one is better and what are the differences for computer rendering.

In this case, be more worried about the GPU on the motherboard. A quad core processor would be adequate as well
