Gaming Performance on MAC using WINE?

Hello, I am a windows user but I always wanted to try and use mac. Just because it looks better and operates smoothly. What I want now is to be able to play my windows games on Mac OS. I've heard of the program WINE which makes windows programs work on mac. Will I get a performance hit when I play windows games on Mac OS using Wine? How about the graphic card drivers on my mac? Will I still be able to install Catalyst drivers and get optimizations? Please can someone explain. MY SPECS: HD 6950 2GB 8GB RAM i5 2500K

EDIT: What do you mean "MY SPECS"???? You don't make a hackintosh and then use Wine. That would be ridiculous. You install Windows. Or maybe you meant this as a joke. A bit early for April 1 tricks, isn't it? @ Doro Ubuntu: Appreciate your cheerleading for Linux, but go away. "WINE is for Linux, not for Mac, you got your OS's mixed up." Not true. WineBottler is for OS X. How can he play all his Windows games properly by installing Linux and then installing WINE for Linux? You are sending him down just another dumb path. The direct and logical approach, Mr. Spock, is to just install Windows.

Want something that looks better than both and operates smoother, faster and safer than both? Install Linux (Ubuntu or any other distro). I recommend Linux Mint 11, acts more like Windows and Mac, Ubuntu has the new Unity desktop now and it's harder to run for newbies. WINE is for Linux, not for Mac, you got your OS's mixed up. With WINE and PlayOnLinux you can run almost all Windows games in Linux. For Mac you can install Windows in Boot Camp to run your games. Most Macs, except for the very expensive ones (Mac Pro), only have integrated graphics, no cards. So little to no gaming is possible. Macs are basically just overpriced shinny toys for computer illiterate teenagers that wanna show off. You always get better specs for less money in a PC.
