How to watch bootleg movies on computer?

How do i install a codec for my computer so i can watch movies?

  • my friend just gave me some movies in a hard drive and im trying to watch them in my computer but windows media player wont let me see the picture i can only hear the sounds.. whats up?

One of the K-Lite Codec pacs should cover it nicely: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm Just be sure to never allow a website to "force" an unsolicited codec on you...they are almost always virus or other malware. A trick that allows them to infect your machine.

Shark007 or CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) should work great. K-lite is pretty good also but I would use the shark007 or CCCP. Any of the three should work so that the movies will play though.

You can do a Google search, and you will see that there are many sites to download Codec pack for free. They install just like you would install any other software.
