Computer Specs. HP Pavilion m7674n Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 here are the specs... http://www3.dealtime.com/xPF-Hewlett-Packard-Hewlett-Packard-Pavilion-Media-Center-TV-Desktop-with-Intel-174-Core-2-Duo-Processor-E6400-m7674n There is something wrong with my Integrated Wireless LAN on my PC. there is no wireless internet icon on the bottom left tray anymore. and there is no "Wireless Connection" tab in the Network Connections Window. I cannot access it at all on my computer. It is just completely inactive. I dont know whats wrong. When I look in Device Manager in 'Network Adapters' tab, it doesnt show anything having to do with a wireless network device. here is a screenshot of my Device Manager. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac339/dusti_n/scrnsht.jpg Ive downloaded a driver update http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-42855-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3271566&os=228&lang=en but idk where to install it. Ive followed the instructions but its leading me to a dead end when it asks me to update "Ethernet Controller" and as for hardware... I am not too good with the stuff but I can tell you that I have looked inside my pc and found out that the antenna that hooks up to my pc is connected to a small card that i assume to be the wireless LAN that lays right beneath my graphics card. and there is a tiny light on the outside/back of the chassis next to where the antenna plugs in that says "Act." I am assuming that means the Wireless LAN is active. Would it help if I completely restore my computer? I hope the information Ive provided can help you to help me. Thanks.

If this happened after you reinstalled your OS, this may mean that, the driver of the bus where your adapter is located is not installed. I'll assume that you have reinstalled your OS, or somehow deleted the driver of that bus unintentionally. Your system doesn't recognize your wireless adapter, because the driver of the bus is missing. So it needs to recognize the bus first. Try to find any other devices with question icon (no drivers installed) in your device manager, and install their drivers first. Good luck
