Answer:
Whats your budget? I would recommend: 2-3Gb of RAM with PC5300 or higher speeds Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad Core Prossesor ATI Raedon or Nvidia Geforce (with about 512mb memory) Any High Def sound card will do 320Gb+ HDD with a write Speed (Depends on how much data you want to hold, but 320 should be enough) A ASUS motherboard (best in my opinion) Gigabit Ethernet Port (Nvidia Nforce Perhaps) And Finally a nice fast Disk Drive. You want at lease a DVD-RW with a nice speed (32X would be awesome). Dual Layer is recommended too. Make sure the motherboard, RAM and Processor are 32-bit, unless you want to pull out the guns and splash for a 64bit, either way all teh components must be one or the other (hence all 32 or all 64)

the most important things are ram, video card, and processor. IN my gaming comp. video card- nvidia 9800 gt ram-4 gigs processor- amd athlon dual core 4400+ If you are making a gaming computer build it yourself. I built mine and i did it for the first time. I found a cheap comp. off of frys that was upgradable. then i bought the parts i wanted to upgrade and added them in. youtube has great vids. Its not as hard as you think good luck!
