My speakers have a problem.

Logitech X-530 Surround sound speakers problem?

  • I got the Logitech X-530 Surround sound speakers 5.1(2 front speakers, 2 rear, center speaker and subwoofer) and i've hooked it all up and plugged everything in the right place. And they seem to work perfectly when i test them using Realtek Hd Audio Manager, but after that i go to use them normally to play my music on my computer but the 2 rear speakers and center one don't work. the others work fine, but i've tried everything to fix the problem nothing helps, i know they work from the test, please help.

  • Answer:

If you are not using a 5.1 ch surround "source" like from the latest power DVD playing a dolby digital disc or a game that supports 5.1 you will only get stereo from the two main channels as they don't come on all the time. Most music/mp3's unless DVD audio is two channel. The fact that the realtek audio test is working means your hardware is setup correctly.
