How to reformat computer a computer w/o a boot disk?

ok i have a laptop and if i go into the control panel then itll show the window explorer has encountered a problem, and has me either send an error report or dont send one.and it does that everytime i go into the control panel. and then, at random times for no reason, the laptop will shut completely down, just out of nowhere, so what im wondering, well one, if anyone knows how else to fix this then i would appreciate it, if not, then can someone tell me how to reformat my laptop w/o a boot disk because i dont have one, and i cant find anyone with one, and i dont wanna pay anyone to fix it, so if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it THX

Well, for a boot disk, you can get GParted or a Linux distro like Ubuntu, then format the disk that way. If you just want to format, try GParted. You can put it on CD or USB. It's free. If you have no other computer to use, try making the USB startup disk for GParted at your local library or something like that. http://gparted.org

Update your Anti-Virus and scan Update your Anti-Spyware and scan Clean the registry If you do not have a boot disk, then what are you going to do after you format your hard disk? It will be completely blank and you will not have a disk to boot the computer and reinstall the OS from.
