Help with Vista home basic audio?

  • Right, I am not very good with computers, just use them for simple things like music, msn games....... Right, but I dont really know much about them, I am using Vista home basic, and I need help. My audio is gone :(, and yes, the speakers are plugged in. When I do the audio test, it works, but when I try to listen to my music or watch vidoes online there is no sound. Help anyone?

    have u tried the speaker icon at the bottom right hand side, it might be turned down, sorry pretty amateur myself lol xxx

make sure you check that the audio is loud enough in the advanced settings of your audio. * Right click speaker on the bottom right of your screen * Left click "adjust audio properties" * Under the Volume TAB * Select "advanced" --- You will see a few sliders, make sure none are low * Adjust to you liking * Best to check your players too ... make sure they have the volume set high too.
