  • My computer got a epic bad virus from just clicking to see a picture full size in google images. We tryed everything i mean everything to get it to work but it was over. So my friend hooke up my harddirve to his computer and put all my music and pics on his desk top and reformated this harddrive delelted everything. Then we load windows 7 on the hard drive we take it out after and plug it back in and it works perfectly. So then after the we put in my computer and it would not boot it would just say bootmgr is missing we were like WTF. So after that we but it back in his computer and it worked fine? could have the virus delete the bootmgr or what ever off my hard drive for my computer? or is it my computer it self that is the problem and i just need to get a whole new computer?? oh and by the way the computer was runing windows xp before. I tested my computer using a program to see if i could use 7 on i and it said i could.

Check the boot priority in your BIOS, make sure the first boot device is hard drive. if you have a IDE hard drive then check the jumper settings. If it doesn't work then get the Win 7 DVD from your friend and put it in your computer and follow these instructions; 1- Insert Win 7 installation DVD and boot from DVD drive. While in some older systems you may have to change boot order through system BIOS, most newer systems allow booting from DVD without changing boot order by simply clicking on any key when prompted to doing so. 2- Choose your default "Language", "Time", and "keyboard Input" on the first window and click next. 3- You're now presented with 3 choices. Click on "Repair Your Computer" to gain access to the System Recovery window. Now choose "Command Prompt" in order to run the desired utility which is called "bootsect.exe". Bootsect is located inside the boot folder so change your directory to boot. Now run "bootsect /nt60 C:\" if you had Win 7 initially installed in the C partition. Alternatively, you can run "bootsect /nt60 SYS" or "bootsect /nt60 ALL" to repair the system partition or all partitions. Eject the DVD, and restart computer. Your computer should now boot Win 7 again. If it doesn't work, just install a new win 7 in your computer.

Just Try Reinstall Windows 7 If U Dont have the install disk Try A Free OS And Use Linux Mint Until u can get the windows install disk U May of deleted a system file for windows 7 thats why
