Can I do a system Recovery?

How can i do a System Recovery without recovery partition?

• Ok i was wanting to install Iakos v7 and when i loaded it i noticed i forgot to make a partition for it so i was kinda lazy (and half a sleep) so i formated all the partitions including the recovery (yes i do very dumb things when im tired) and i installed it got to work after like 50 times reinstalling iatkos getting the settings right. So when i got it right i fount out that my network card doesent work with it so i dont get any internet unless i plug in but i cant cause thats just not possible so i used my old laptop to download Windows 7 off youtube and install it but...its not 100% compatible with my computer and i dont got all the like ati control panel and stuff like thatits got just the basics but the resoulution is crap ands its always got the windows 7 error (you know when windows explorer goes into kinda whitish coulor and says some error thingy) it has internet so its good for now but i cant do much cause all my games wont run off it cause of the resoulution thingy but i have the same laptop (lil bit different the laptop with the issue is a Hp g61 300CA and the other one is a Hp g61 329CA there almost the exact same just myn has 1g more of ram and i thought i could make a copy of the recovery from there so i burnt the CD with the recovery cd maker (built in) then tried to run it on the g61 300CA and didnt work. I have a cd key for windows 7 i wanna know if there anything i can do before i go out and spend 20 for the new cd from HP? Please help

  Yes. 1. Learn to RTFM before you use things. (It TELLS you to make a set of recovery discs FIRST.) 2. You downloaded a copy of win7 from you tube? That is pirated material, unless it is a "beta" copy, and probably won't EVER work right, AND you can't get updates either; and IF the original was ever registered you could be charged with piracy, among other things. 3. Obviously they are NOT almost exactly the same, or you wouldn't have a resolution problem. 4. Win7 checks the hardware IDs and THAT is one reason why the OTHER recovery set wouldn't work. 5. The win7 key is DIFFERENT for EACH copy. NOW, spend the $20 and don't be "lazy" or "stupid" again. By the way, IF you want to "backup" your system you will need a 3rd party program as Vista and later do NOT supply a program that will back up the ENTIRE system.
