I have some technical problems with my external display.

I am having display problems with my computer, my tv doesn't recognize any signal from my pc, can anyone help?

• its an HD LED TV, and I have it connected to my pc by normal dvi card: radeon hd 5770 When it stopped working: my computer was first experiencing problems shutting down by the start menu, it simply wouldnt turn off and even though it was trying to(this is after it logging off) (staying in the shut down process display). after awhile it would freeze. after it doing this a few times instead of holding the power button to shut it off again, i held unto the reset button. Then the display went off but the computer remained on. This was an accident though, i meant to hold the power button down but I wasnt paying attention and i held down the reset button (thinking it was the power). Thats where i am now, it turns on but there isn't any display.

  TVs can't handle as many different resolutions as a monitor can. Try restarting your PC, press F8 as it boots up and select VGA mode. Then try different resolutions and refresh rates. If that doesn't work, it's probably your video card - but I'd suggest you connect the PC to a real monitor to be sure.
