How can I fix white pixels?

How do I fix this: pixels (moving and fixed) on monitor screen?

  • I am using a Dell desktop computer. First, I want to say that no pixels SHOULD be moving/dancing on the screen, but there are white and colored pixels moving on the LED monitor. This problem just started today and I am not sure at which point it began. I noticed it while working in Photoshop, but I work in that program every day and it has not happened before. In areas where there are no details or graphics, there are no moving pixels, but in areas with a lot of graphics that are close in proximity or graphics that are moving, the pixels move a lot around/on that area. They appear like "sparkles" and not like static - the pixels are not highly concentrated, but they are very evident and distracting. Do you know what may be causing this and how I may be able to fix it?

  • Answer:

Is the monitor cable seated properly? Try unhooking it and reconnecting it. This is often an issue with CRT monitors. I'm afraid that your LED monitor may be wearing out. How old is it? Is it still under warrenty?
