  • Answer:

Ok you do not need the quad core cpu you can just use an amd athlon II x2 dual core for example...Secondly, do you have any budget? Also you don't need so much ram your comptr can slow down a bit with too much...And what motherboard?? P.S. I wud say rather use the ATi 5770 or better instead of the nVidia graphics card

I think you will be wasting money on 8 GB ram.Instead get only 6 GB and invest it in processor. I would recommend you to buy intel core i5 760.It is best quad core processor. Also you need not buy 8.1 channel sound card.Onboard sound also do a good job.So put that money to get a better graphics card atleast GTX 480.I am saying this because your GPU little poor for serious gaming. Why dont you look out for some other mobo compatible with intel core processor(compatible with i5 760)??

Only buy 4 GB of RAM and use that extra money you saved on a better video card. Also make sure you get a good power supply to go along with it.

Okay, now I am going to assume that is an AMD quad core running at 3.0 GHz. However. I am an ATI guy. And with the new technology that they came out with where during the GPU's idle time it actually assists the CPU in processing information that is what I would recommend. Perhaps the SapphireTech Vapor-X HD 5770 which is quite comparable to what you are looking at. I have one in my rig right now, and I am running all games that I can throw at it at 1440x900 in DirectX11 and 8xantialiasing and usually getting around 75 to 80 Frames per Second. The guy before me is right on two things the ram, 6 gigs would be well over enough, and 8.1 channel sound card is way overkill. Unless you are going to be watching BluRay movies on your rig. There is not a game out there that supports that many channels, and unless you are hooking up all 9 speakers to the system and having a spiderweb of nonsense. Then a regular 5.1 sound card will be just fine. Perhaps take the money savings from the ram, and up your hard drive to a 750?

I'd get an Intel Sandy Bridge CPU. The i5-2500k is only around $230 and eats the Phenom II X4's and X6's for lunch when it comes to gaming. I'd also up the video card to at least a Radeon 5770 or a GTX 460, with the Radeon 6870 or GTX 470/560 being preferable. The GTS 430 is weak sauce when it comes to gaming video cards. Anyone who says you don't need a quad core for modern and *upcoming* games is wrong. Quad cores are the norm now and most current and virtually all upcoming games are made to utilize them.

Yes, that spec will be fine. Make sure you buy a good power supply. Rather than 500gb, it will be nice if you can get a 1tb hard drive.

I don't know if you are on a budget, but you could do with only 6 RAM without any problem. 8 is a bit overkill unless you need intense multitasking while gaming and encoding videos! The sound thing is a bit too much in my opinion but it's your choice (8.1 really? 5.1 is enough for most of the games, you'll need to buy all theses speakers too!!) Everything else is good!
