How do I increase font size in Mac App Store?

Why won't Apple programs just close ?

  • I just bought a 27 inch iMac i7 quad core, and it's really nice but my first Mac. For a computer that is supposedly so intuitive and easy to use it seems to do a lot of dumb things. First of all, is there any way to just close a program with one click? I click on the red circle in the window and you would think that is to close it, since the yellow one minimizes, but the red essentially does the same thing since you have to go up to the top of the screen and close it manually if you don't want the last ten thousand things you opened running at the same time. Secondly, installing programs is not intuitive at all. You double click on the .dmg files, and sometimes you can just drag the program to the app folder and sometimes you can't (because it's in there, but not reeeeally in there) because sometimes the disk drive icon has to be where you get the file to drag to the app folder. That's bizarre. Finally, I can zoom in on the screen (which is weird and messes up screen resolution and throws me off) but I can't increase the font size of most of the stuff I use (like the address bar on safari or firefox) Why not? And finally, I save most things to the downloads folder, but the downloads folder IS NOT A CHOICE IN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE THING CALLED THE FINDER!?!?! Apple snobs, lemme have it. I can't wait for you guys to justify this weirdness.

You can close programs easily by clicking "command" and "Q" together. It's fast and easy. Some programs have an installer, some you have to drag the app to the Applications folder in Finder. You can drag any folder to the left hand bar in Finder, this gives you a shortcut. Or you can make an alias to the folder and put it on your desktop.
