  • Now that steam is on MAC Some gaming PC videos I go on someone is saying "Why get a PC get a MAC" I hope MAC does not take over gaming in the future

    "Why get a PC get a MAC" in reference to gaming - I'd say whoever would say something like that is either trolling, or seriously deluded. Firstly; from what I've read, and heard, Steam games on Mac OSX, are for the most part badly ported, and buggy. Secondly; next to no one in the development world is actually making games exclusively to run on a Mac platform (excluding the shovelware that you can play on iPad/iPhone, which can hardly be called games anyway), at least at this stage it just isn't economically viable to do so, seeing as the majority of gamers not using a console, use windows. Steam's Oct. 2010 hardware survey showed that less than five percent of Steam users, use an Apple operating system. Thirdly; Macs aren't built for gaming. They're rediculously overpriced. They can't be upgraded or modified. They don't use quality components like the ones available in a gaming build. In summary, don't worry, gaming is not moving in that direction, stick with windows. PS. Usually you just say "Mac" as "MAC" in capitals, refers to something different when talking about computers.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mactaking over gaming? Steam may be a hugely popular platform, but there are still TONS of games that will NEVER EVER EVER be ported to the mac. plus you can't build a super computer in the apple store. anyone with a few thousands dollars could buy a water cooled six core with 12 gigs of ram and an nvidia tesla and a 15000 RPM drive. ask for those hardware specs in an apple store and the mac nerds will laff at you.
