How do you build a i-7 Computer build?

  • Its been a while since me and my nephew has built one. And with newer technology we thought its a bit different to build a comp from scratch again. We have: I7 processor 2.66Ghz 4870 ATI vid card GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R MOBO 2 7200 Seagate 500 GB HDs (which we want to setup as Raid-0s) a Bluray combo Drive 1000 Watt power supply and 4 GB 1600 Kingston Memory (2GBx2) If someone could point us to a step by step guide or explain on how to build this I7 Build. Been a while since we built a Custom Comp. When to setup the MOBO, what to install first, how to scale the Ram, OC the CPU,How to setup Raid-0 drives, etc. Noob Mode yes....

Best advice: Read and follow the Motherboard Installation Guide, it should have all you need to get your new PC up and running. Then, PC World, Tom's Hardware, and distributors like Tiger Direct, have step by step tutorials on their respective websites, and, on look the component manufacturer's websites, too. TIP: OCing, and RAID configuration, info is just a Google search away.
