Will these following graphics work on my pc?

Graphics card starts to work after 2-3 PC turn off/ons?

  • Hi, I have bought a new graphics card for PCI Express. The strange thing I dont understand is - I turn on the PC and it says "NO SIGNAL", like the cable was disconnected. So I turn it off, then on again and sometimes I repeat the cycle. Then it normally works and there are no problems then, it runs perfectly (I let my PC on for days). I am just curious what could be the cause that it usually doesnt work after the PC start. Thanks!

  • Answer:

If you didn't upgrade your power supply, that is a likely cause. Most cards require a minimum of 450 watts, and a good majority of desktops only come with something like 350 watts.

it might be that your PSU or motherboard cannot supply it with enough power. this happened to me, when i maxed the front side bus, the processor would just work after 1-2 resets.

Its the power supply, underpowered and can't give the video card enough juice to get it going. A good power supply is a good investment. Take a look at corsair. A good power supply is about $70 Heres the cheapest corsair 400 watt one. All makes and models of corsair are the highest quality http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008
