How can I get the sound to work with my webcam?

When i plugged in my webcam all my audio didnt work! Help!?

• I just bought a mylife webcam. On the bottom of the box it says window users can use it too. So i plugged in the webcam and put in the cd and installed the progam. I went to turn my speakers down on the computer and it wouldnt let me. All my audio that had to do with changing the options of my speaker andmicrophone and EVERYTHING WITH AUDIO didnt work. And this is under control panel btw. So then i uninstalled the program for the webcam and un plugged it and everything. But all my options for my audio still doesnt work. How can i get it back! ( when i say my audio doesnt work i mean my speakers turn on and everything but when i play a video the sound doesnt work. And say i want to change the settings the options is not highlighted so i cant click on it.) I tried unplugging it and everything please help! )

  perhaps the webcam software installed a 3rd party sound application, that over writes windows controls. Go into the control panel, and under add/remove programs, look for any unfamiliar program that may be controlling your sound. such as a sort of mixer app. if you find something, uninstall it. Also, in control panel, go to you sound settings and make sure the correct sound card is set as default.
