How do you transfer video files to an external hard drive from a MacBook?
-
I assumed the drag and drop method would work but it doesnt work for some reason. When I try to drag a video from documents to the external drive folder a circle with a slash through it appears and it wont let me, but i can drag a file from the hard drive folder to the mac documents folder....confusing stuff.

Answer:
I don't use iMovie much (or if you are using Apple's Pro software for movies) but check within the application used for editing moves and see if one of the menu items offers a "transfer" command. If so, I would suspect if "transfer" is there, you can use the command to transfer movies to the external drive.
