How do I Transer copy my itunes library to my jump/flash drive?

  • How do I Transer copy my itunes library to my jump/flash drive? I tried copy and pasting my library to my jump drive but it doesnt work. i even tried making another folder it would let me copy it then but then not from there either to the jump drive. it keeps saying "cannot find specified file specify correct path and file name". i even tried doing 1 individual mp3 at time and it still wont let me

  • Answer:

The only way to copy the files is to go to the directory that they are actually stored in. For most computers My Docs > My Music > Itunes In that folder you should see most of your files organized. However, it depends on where the files originated from. For example, if you bought the songs from itunes there really isn't anyway to get them to your jump drive since they are protected content. (DRM) On the other hand if you ripped them from Cd's the files should be in that folder and you should be able to back them up. If you are getting the error that the specified file can't be found on the path that means either 1)the file has been removed or is protected or 2) the folder location of your music has changed Hope this helps.
