Why doesn't my webcam work?

My webcam will not work, please help!?

  • okay so my HP pavilion laptop webcam will not work. it keeps saying that the cam isnt connected to the driver and that there is no camera! please help me to fix it...

    Hi If you right click on My Computer and select Manage. Then down the left side select Device Manager. This will then list all the hardware on the right hand side. Look there for Imaging Devices or similar. If it doesn't not appear or has a ! or ? next to it and sometimes yellow then the driver is missing or not installed correctly. Go to the HP website and choose Support. Enter your laptop model number and then it will give you all the drivers. Find the drivers for webcam and download and install. Regards

You didn't say which OS you use so assuming it's Windows, go to the HP website, go to drivers, input the model number then download the webcam driver, install and away you go.
