Whats the average temperature for a graphics card when idle?

Whats wrong With My graphics card?

  • have had my G Card for about 6 months and it has been working fine. But recently i played a game and it was all slow and then i would check if my graphics card to see if it was there by going to properties and it was there , but then i would restart my computer and check it ,it would show up as if i didn't even have a graphics card,i didn't use it for 3 days and got on and checked and showed it existed ,and got on a game it worked fine and tryed to change servers and it froze the game ,restarted and join another game and it was really slow and again acting as if i didn't have a graphics card.this has happened like once before like 3 month ago and it worked fine again till now.Whats the problem?Basically my graphics card is not showing up. I updated my graphics card, and it showed up again and shows up there everytime. But when i actually go to play a game it runs like crap, this goes for any game i play, but are a few times wheni got on a game and it worked perfect, got off that game and got on a deferanit one it would start running like junk. And if that happened the graphics card wouldnt work al day itill i went to bed and woke up, i could tell it was working because on vista how when you close a window if it was closing smooth i knew it was working, and it closes slow and jagged i knew it wasnt, but even when i knew it was working and got on a game the game wouldnt work

  • Answer:

I would like to know what graphics card you have because that will change your computer's performance depending on which game you play because some games are more graphics intensive than others. For example it is almost impossible for a laptop to run crysis unless you spend 3000 dollars. but you can run almost all other games just as well if you just spend 1000 dollars.

Other answers

check if its firmly plugged in to the motherboard, also check the powercables that are suppose to be connected to it if there is any :) also it would help a bit to know what type of graphics card you have
