Which HDD handycam is the all around easiest to use?

I have a mac and I want to use my external HDD as a mass storage drive!?

Hey, i have a mac and when i put in my external hdd it goes to this back up thing that i dont want to use.How do i use my hdd as a mass storage device.I just want to use the simple drag and drop method to use my HDD.When I double click the disk image on my desktop it takes me to this blank page where i cant paste or drop anything.What do i do? The HDD is from WD(Western Digital) and is 1 TB. Thanks for your response. -Sam

Go to your disk utility program and use it to format the external HDD. Then you should be able to drag & drop.

good question. format your hard drive and select NTFS and DO NOT install the preset software that comes with your hdd. these are only for backup purposes, which you don't want to use. then start using it just like a normal hard disk drive. good luck
