Is there a cable to hook my computer into my TV?

Cable to hook up computer to tv?

  • So I have a cable to hook up my laptop to the tv and whatever is on the laptop screen will be on the tv screen, but you don't hear any of the sound that should be playing on the computer, through the tv, I have to hook up an amp to hear. So i bought another cable. On one end theirs a blue square looking thing with knobs on both sides, I hooked up that to the laptop, and on the other end theirs 3 different output things, blue, red, and green. and I hook that up to the tv, it should show what is on the laptop creen on the tv, and the tv will also play the sound that should be playing on the computer. But it doesn't work, I tried the cable the other way around and on a computer, can someone please tell me what I should do? I'll give best answer, thanks.

    get an audio cable and connect it from the headphone jack of your computer to the audio in of your tv. why they can't make a cable that includes video and audio is beyond me. just another scam i guess.

On my computer,i have to go to a ATI catalysis control center-this is on Toshiba models-you might want to click on the right side of your mouse,to get the ability to switch screens,from monitor to t.v. I do this when i use microsoft flight simulator,and i just plug in a set of headphones,to the jack out on the computer.Also you will need to get a VGA cord and that should solve your problem.Also,i found out that if you get 2(white &red) stereo cords,end to end,and 3.5 mm jack,on both sides,you can hook up the computer,thur a receiver,and amplifier the signal,this works great for the radio,on i-tunes
