How to manually install a virtual usb printer port in xp?

HOW DO YOU INSTALL A HIGH SPEED USB PORT ON A WINDOWS XP COMPUTER?

    Sometimes your PC has the physical USB 2.0 ports, and just needs the correct chipset drivers downloaded. If your PC is old (pre-2002 or so) it may only contain USB 1.1 ports. In this case, you can either add a PCI expansion card containing USB 2.0 ports to your desktop, or a PCMCIA card containing USB 2.0 ports to your PCMCIA slot equiped laptop. Otherwise, the transfer will work, just very, very slowly. (USB 2.0 is 40x faster than USB 1.1) EDIT: You need to go to your computer manufacturer's support website and make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed. Reinstalling Windows XP often misses these motherboard specific drivers, and won't enable all the functions available. Give us a model name & number if you can't find the drivers on your own and we may be able to help.
