Best Graphics Card For A Dell XPS 410?

Will a HIS Radeon HD 4670 IceQ 1GB Graphics Card work on my Dell XPS Gen 2?

  • Hello, I am in the market for a graphics card and sadly I'm stuck with an agp slot. I was wondering if my Dell XPS Gen 2 would be able to handle a Radeon HD 4670 or maybe a 4650? Any help would be greatly appreciated! System: Dell XPS Tower PT4 HT 3.4Ghz 2GB RAM 460Watt Power Supply Thanks, Mark

  • Answer:

Short Answer: No. Long Answer: Insufficient power supply. Plus, if you only have an AGP port (???), none of the modern (PCI-e) cards will work.

That XPS could have either an AGP or PCIe slot. Crack it open and check. If it's AGP, then it's really not worth upgrading. If it's PCIe, then there are better cards for the money than a 4670. Okay, good. With that out of the way, you're wasting your money. Your CPU will bottleneck the hell out of any modern game you try to play. It'll work, but the diminished return that you get on your money just isn't enough to justify it.
