Installing Windows 7 without a DVD?

My computer hardware, dvd drive, camera, not working after installing Windows 7?

  • I have an Acer Aspire 5810Tz that came with Vista installed on it. everything was working perfect. I ordered the Windows 7 free upgrade option from Acer, and i installed it and chose the option to erase my computer when it did it. After the installation, i cannot get my camera to work, or my cd dvd drive, but what is strange, it works if i restart my computer with disk in it, but once its out, it cant read it. also the computer takes 5-7 minutes to shut down. what is the cause/fix for this? If i need drivers could you help me with some links? help is greatly appreciated, 10 ptz best answer!

  • Answer:

If you can’t find the right drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at: http://www.drivers-updates.net/
