Why won't my computer recognize my Flip video?

Computer Does NOT Recognize my Video Card.?

  • I have an Alienware M15x and i play World Of Warcraft and other games on my computer. My FPS was really bad and my internet connection was perfect so i figured it was time to install the updates to my video card. NVidia getforce 8700 and i downloaded the newest version but my computer wont recognize it. ive downloaded a bunch of different versions and it wont recognize it. Now it recognizes the standard crappy intel one thats also in my computer, and i cant play any games because its so bad. PLZ HELP

    How about some error messages? Help me help you. Saying that your machine "doesn't recognize" the card doesn't mean much with out actual messages.

Unload the existing drivers that are installed for that card. Shut the system down. Reboot the computer, let it find what it needs to find to accomodate the changes. When it is done, shut it down. Install the GPU. Boot the system, when its ready, install the proper drivers for the GPU
