How can I take the hard drive from my old computer and use it for storage on another computer?
-
I would like to use the hard drive from my HP pavilion 522 and use it for storage on a newer HP Compac. They both have windows XP. I only want to keep the data files from the old computer. Should I remove or uninstall windows and all the other programs from the old hard drive?

Answer:
save all your data files and reformat the 2nd drive is best then transfer the data files back to the 2nd drive if you want.
