Built-in Webcam Not Detected?

Built in webcam not detected with any software?

  • ive downloaded youcam from cyberlink and it says the webcam cant be detected please turn it on. i cant find the webcam in device manager or anything like that to switch it on. i think its called a simplo webcam. thats all i know any help will be great. thanks

    If no software can find it and it is not available in device manager it has most likely died. Buy another and clip it to the top of your monitor or laptop HTH David

Or, it simply doesn't have the right driver installed. Go to device manager and look for yellow ? labels. This means the device is unknown. Right click it and choose update driver. You have to be connected to the internet. If it doesn't find the right drivers, you can try 3rd Party Driver Detecting software, or if you know the exact model of the webcam (try looking up your laptop's webcam model name), you can manually google for a driver.
