Looking for a good, cheap TV Tuner for my laptop?

I'm looking at DVR's and they are all so expensive. So I was looking at much cheaper TV tuner's for my laptop and I wanted something that I could hook up my cable TV to so i can Pause/Record/Rewind live TV and store that on my 500GB external HDD. Any suggestions from people using these? Thanks P.S. I have usb, firewire, and an expresscard54 slot for it to hook into.
