1. Plug in your webcam, make sure it works on your computer/download any drivers that may be missing. 2. Open yahoo! messenger. 3. Open an IM chat conversation with the person you want to share your webcam with. 4. Right above the "SEND" button there is a little webcam looking button. Click it, and your buddy will get an invite to view your cam. 5. Once your sharing your cam with someone, your status will change to a button to request to view your webcam. All of your other buddies can see this. If you don't want them requesting, then change your status right after you invite someone. I use yahoo! messenger 9.0, I think its the same in 8.

Sign into YM and click on messenger at the top and then click on preferences and then click on webcam and you can set it up there.
