How do I hook my computer up to my TV?

How can i hook my computer to my tv. it has to b possible.?

  • my computer is a dell 530s. thats the slimline computer that doesnt take normal video cards. it only has vga and usb outputs. my tv has rca inputs, s-video inputs, and coax. i cant figure it out nor can i find anyone who sounds like they know what they r talking about.

    the only way for that kind of connecotrs is to purchase a converter. they are called PC-toTV converter. it cost about $60-70 and sells at any electronics store. Normally it will come with all the cables that are needed to connect it. Good luck

I don't know where you are located but I know Fry's Electronics sells a way to convert vga to rca connection considering they are both analog. But its not a cheap connection.

you need a D- sub cable and PC audio cable. you tv must be compatable. your PC must have same outlets.the sub cable connects the PC output and the TV in.

In the end your need 3 leads to go from your PC to the TV, No. 1 will be the s-video Obviously the video Attach to Component Video - Yellow (I think) Next - Your need a lead to go from Headphone 2.5mm to a twin component 3.5mm No.2 & 3 EASY - just run an connection cable from your headphone socket 2.5MM (I Think) Next Your cable will then split into two (RED & White) Simple plug these into your component sockets on your TV If your still plugged into your monitor you should probably switch to Which monitor you want as active, not to fiddly but a pain the first time Again to do this two ways XP & Vista ways Vista First -it's what i'm runnin, be prepared to look around on Xp Vista right click desktop anywhere, Personalize, Display Stetting & your done XP - same way possibly, - Properties after right click desktop, & again monitor setting - anyway it's on the settings which show your PC specs
