How do I get my web cam to work again?

  • My Dell laptop had a bad virus and everything was wiped off of it. My computer now does not register that i have a web cam and so i can not us it. When I type it into the search bar nothing comes up. How do I fix this and get my web cam to function again?

  • Answer:

    Go onto Dell.com and search for the model # of your laptop. This will provide you with access to all default software and drivers that were originally on your laptop. Look for your drivers and software associated with your webcam, and download / install them. This should get you up and running again.
