How to increase virtualbox.vdi actual size?

Want to increase C drive size in such a case like this?

  • in my laptop the C drive size is only just 50gb and got 2 other drives D and E with size 244 and 288 respectively.....with the day by day windows updates now the free space in C drive is just 14gb ...2 months before when no internet connection is available.....but now i want to increase the C drive total size......remember that there is no unallocated size in 'Disk management'.... But yesterday i shrinked the volume of my F drive by 5gb....but it is created as '' FREE SPACE '' not as ''UNALLOCATED SPACE ''....how to handle this case what i have to do inorder to increase the c drive size when there is no 'unallocated space'' at present

You have to Check the C drive. It is because of some error in one of the software installed on the computer. It's log files making this problem. Do one thing, Open the C drive and Take Properties of each folders in the C drive. Check which one is taking lots of space. You can Find a folder which is taking more than 10-15GB Space. Find that folder and open it. Inside that folder also you can find a folder taking lots of Space fine that one and open it. Like that you have to get into each folders. Finally you will get a folder which is taking lots of Space. It will be related with any application. Like yahoo, Google, Norton etc. Find that folder and inside that you can see some files also. Those files will be the one making problems. Delete those file and delete it from the recycle bin also. Restart the computer. If that issue still happen you have to remove that application. NOTE : IT IS NOT A VIRUS.

If there is some free space in D drive, or you have created a new partition 'BEFORE' it, you can easily merge it with C: drive. Use Easeus partition master to increase the size of C drive http://mytechencounters.wordpress.com/2011/09/09/how-to-increase-the-size-of-c-drive/

Hi... If you want to increase the C drive partition "With out data loss" this can only be done with third party software... I have and use Easeus , uses a slide to size interface .. Just make one partition smaller then expand the other in to the now free space.... Hope that helps.
