My dvd player wont work?

Lightscribe wont work on DVD player?

  • I created a video using windows movie maker,converted the file using DVD flick,burned it with imgburn, and tried to burn it onto a lightscribe DVD. the lightscribe DVD works on my laptop but it does not work on the dvd player. I've burnt it onto just regular dvds and it works fine, but with the lightscribe dvd it only plays on the computer. any help?

I don't know what you mean when you say "lightscribe DVD". Lightscribe is a type of DVD burner made by HP, that is capable of also burning an image in the top of the DVD as well as putting data on it. Are you saying you are using blank DVD media that was intended for a lightscribe burner? I would have to wonder why anyone would care? But when a DVD works on the computer it was burned with, but not on something else, it is usually because the wrong format was chosen. There are formats that can be added to or rewritten, and those are not generic. You have to choose to burn a format that is complete and closed. Only then will it work on a DVD player.
