Why can't my computer see the images?

Computer cant see storage on Micro SD card!!!!!! HELP PLZ?

• Alright, i have a Micro SD card for my Samsung cell phone, I also have the adapter to plug it in my Dell Computer (its vista by the way). The problem is that i use to be able to see what was on my SD card, but now when i plug into the computer it says in device manager : Cannot start device (code 10). I have stuff i wanna put in my computer but just cant! But i can see everything when i plug it in my cell phone. So i think its the computer thats creating a problem! How can i fix this, without losing whats on the card!??????????

  You're not going to like my answer: That's Vista for ya! Try doing it on an XP machine (a friends, or a work machine, for example) and emailing the files to yourself. If it still won't work the adapter or the microSD card is probably faulty.
