Can please someone tell me how can I repair my computer?

Windows XP Repair install - Not enough Memory Please restart computer - Can someone please help?

  • I decided to upgrade my Father inlaws computer, but realized he need to replace nearly everything in his computer. So I decided to put his harddrive in with ALL my old parts... my motherboard, gpu, EVERYTHING.. So that way he would still have his info on his harddrive... WHere I hit a few unique snags, and he decided he wanted to try my SIZE harddrive which was much bigger. So I put my harddrive back in, and proceeded to turn it on. It stated it was missing a file from windows/system32 and I could plug in the Windows CD and type R at setup and repair windows. So I boot the CD from BIOS screen, and as Windows is setting up and preparing to give me the option to setup - repair - fresh windows install, just before I reach that point a message pops up saying "Not enough Memory - Please restart computer" I CAN NOT get passed this... I don't know what would have changed. Everything was fine before. It's a P4 3ghz, 2GB ram dual channel 7800 Geforce, etc. It was working fine before!! I don't get why all of a sudden I have this message. I can't even RESET my own darn harddrive!! Can someone please help? Is there a work around? What is causing this? Nothing has changed in the system. I really need help... This has embarrassed me badly in front of my Wife's family, and I'm ready to bury my head in the sand over this... Any help would be nice.
