Will Logitech 5.1 Surround Speakers (X-540) work with a macbook?

I have a white macbook and I want to have surround sound for music, movies etc. Will these speakers plug into the macbook and will surround sound be supported? Also if surround sound isn't can i buy a external sound car to plug the speakers into?

It won't have surround sound because the Macbook doesn't have surround sound.

I'm not sure with the new macbooks but generally logitech is designed for macs and computers. Pretty sure the macbooks are equipped with compatible sound cards. My brother has the same one for his pc and it sounds amazing just to let you know :D

Surround sound being supported has to do with your sound card. And knowing Macs the sound card most probably DOES support it, so yes it will work
