My usb pendrive is Write Protection how can i format it?

There should be some switch/knob or something on the USB drive its self that will let you disable the Write Protection. some nicer ones have software that enables/disables write protection. You need to disable it before you can format it. No you can not format it when Write Protection is enabled.

I think the other guys may be thinking of sd cards, right click on the drive and click properties and uncheck read only, usually you can just go ahead and format a drive even if write protected
Some usb thumb/pen drives have a switch on the device that you need to slide, then it will read and write.
