What is a good start-up sound system?

My pc cant install the sound cards...help?

  • so my pc had this problem where the screen would go blue after like...30 seconds after i turn it on and post a messege which said that my subsyste system process has terminated unexpectedly with an error status of 0x0000...somthing, and the system has been shut gown.....well what i did was that i took that 30 second time frame and opened ms config and started to turn off some startup services like skype or utorren, ect...at one point, that blue screen didnt appear anymore...im guessing its not because of what i did since i turned them back on and nothing happende, then i did malware scans/virus scans...some of the things got fixed, but what still suks is that i cant get to install any sound drives or sound cards.....and also the start menu and everything that was supposed to look like that pouty windows xp blue theme is all classic now..... and my pc is windows xp pro motherboard asus p5g41t-mlx ram 2 gb this dosent matter does it?

  • Answer:

some information the first long number after the STOP word is very important it tells you why the BSOD happened., if there is a next time, then please QUOTE IT. you can turn off the AUTO RESTART ON error option in the control panel system, system recovery options. most BSOD's are related to either GRAPHICS drivers or HArd drive interface problems. --------------------------------------… when re-installing XP, then Microsoft install NEVER completes the job properly PCI devices are detrmined by the BIOS the Mainboard CHIPSET drivers provide windows with the ability to ask the BIOS about PCI devices. The mainboard chipset is usually detected incorrectly by windows xp install, thats why sound usually doesnt work download and install these drivers 1 The mainboard CHIPSET drivers, you must install thes 1st to allow BIOS ...to tell windows what else is fitted to the PCI bus 2 download all your other drivers as NOW your CHIPSET is WORKING properly. ...Install ALL other drivers, eg sound, LAN,Graphics,Wireless, etc to name but a few oh the woes of installing XP thanks microsoft!

what sound card do you have? windows xp is well known for **** like this. you should try upgrade to win7 if possible (there are many cracked versions if you don't wanna spend a shitload of money) also you could try a system recovery.
