What is the best, affordable webcam to buy?

  • What is the best, affordable webcam to buy? I am looking for a webcam to buy for many uses, and neither my desktop nor laptop have one (both are PCs). It also doesn't matter where it is bought at as long as it isn't too expensive. Requirements: video chatting and recording decent/good quality sound and video taking pictures (including fun add ins) easy to travel and install and whatever else they can do. I also would like to know what video chatting program I should use, there are so many to pick from. Thanks!

    Chatting programs? Skype ! HD-5000 is good. 720p, inexpensive. Just youtube HD-5000 and people will be testing it. Microsoft lifecam Cinema is also really good. Newegg.com is a good place to get. I guess your local Frys, Microcenter, Best buy would have them as well.
