Why isn't my mic working?

Heeeeeeeeelppppp :( My mic isnt working and I have no clue what I did..Mic or Headphones..?

  • My mic NOR head set isnt working!! I did something idk what Can someone help me? Its working but when I go on something that has sound it isn't working all I can hear is sound from my computer...You know like I can hear clicking and blinging and stuff but when I go on internet I hear nothing!     you have ONE playback destination you have ONE recording source control panel sounds sound hardware audio properties Volume button for Playback brings up a mixer just above the volume button is a dropdown this chooses the ONE destination A webacm may have a MIC thats ONE source the pc has a MIC socket(PINK) thats ONE source a Headset may have a MIC and if its USB thats ONE source you can only be using ONE of them at a time from the DROPDOWN use the mixer from the VOLUME button hope thats all clear similar applies to the VOLUME for PLAYBACK to the ONE output
