No Audio Device. Cannot Install Audio Drivers. PLEASE HELP !!!?

I am running Windows XP Professional, My sound was working fine , i was using Via Audio drivers. But one day Via audio deck crashed and my sound was lost.I formated my PC and tried to install the audio drivers but they wont install i get this error "Sorry the install wizard can't find the supported hardware in your system.You should check your hardware and try again." No audio device is detected. Please help me fix this!!!

It sounds like your sound device has a hardware fault as long as you are sure that you are loading the correct driver I suspect your have a audio chip onboard but you are talking about a what is commonly called a desktop pc.as against a laptop If this is so buy a sound card for your hardware i.e PCI/PCIe basic cards are not expensive

well you should contact a dell official who can help you, but if you dont want to do that. you can buy audio drivers and fix it yourself. SEcond option not recommended :D
