Why won't threatfire let me use an external hard drive?

  • i'm running the security tool threatfire on my laptop alongside avira anti-virus, and i've just got an external hard drive and when i try to run it i get a warning off threatfire saying it has detected a potential threat and that it's trying to connect to the internet in a suspicious manner and is trying to tamper with another program on my pc. i've scanned the hard drive with avira and it didn't detect anything so i decided to just go ahead and run the hard drive so selected to let the program to continue when the warning came up but threatfire won't allow it to continue, the warning box just keeps popping up and doesn't go til i unplug the hard drive. the hard drive isn't new but i've been assured there's nothing wrong with it. is it likely threatfire could be being over protective?

  • Answer:

That really seems like abnormal behavior from the program, I think you should uninstall threatfire and find a real security software like Norton or CAsecurity, those are some good software that protect well and don't pose problems like yours
