How to install USB Drivers from USB flash drive?

Windows is unable to install drivers for flash drive?

  • anytime i plug in a flash drive or a mass storage device the windows(vista basic 32 bit) is able to identify it but cannot install the drivers.

see if there are any updates you need for vista.. if not.. might just be old flash drives

you don't need a driver if you see it on My computer as a removable driver that's jus for the really old ones

maybe the drivers are not compatible with Vista. check with the manufacturer to find out. if it is compatible with Vista, they will have troubleshooting information, if it isn't, then there's not much you can do.

Flash drives themselves do not need drivers. You may have something messed up with your USB drivers if the flash drive does not appear in your computer. Try waiting for an update.
